Paiges of Thyme is located in Clarinda, Iowa, a friendly "hometown" community of approximately 5,200 residents. A complimentary blend of old and new give Clarinda a nostalgic, old-fashioned feeling.
Some of the possible activities and attractions in our area include:
- Page County Courthouse: Beautiful brick Georgian style building built in 1885, gutted by fire in 1991, it has been proudly restored to it's original splendor.
- Clarinda Town Square: Lovely examples of turn-of-the-century architecture housing an array of hometown businesses
- Glenn Miller Birthplace: First home of "Big Band" leader Glenn Miller. Carefully restored it has been turned into a museum filled with big band and Miller family memorabilia. A three-day Glenn Miller Festival is held each year in June.
- Nodaway Valley Historical Museum & Goldenrod School Museum: The museums house memorabilia and artifacts documenting the history of Page County. The Goldenrod School is a completely restored working country school and is known as the Birthplace of 4-H.
- City Parks, Recreation & Lied Center: Clarinda is proud of its lovely parks and the Lied Center, a fully equipped recreational center with Southwest Iowa's largest indoor pool. Other recreational opportunities include the Clarinda County Club offering an 18-hole golf course and the Wabash Trace, a 63 mile hiking and bicycling trail located 16 miles west of Clarinda.
